The AAUW St. Paul Branch College Scholarships

2018 High School Graduating Senior Women  Since 1911, the St. Paul College Club, Inc. AAUW Scholarship Trust has awarded college scholarships to more than 400 St Paul area high school graduates and young women returning to college.  A 501(c)(3) charitable organization affiliated with the St Paul Branch of the American Association of University Women, private contributions from St. Paul AAUW members and friends have made the success of St Paul area scholars a reality.

The Scholarship Trust offers a four-year college scholarship for young women who are graduating high school seniors of accredited public or private schools in the St Paul Metro Area, specifically from the designated geographic boundaries within the Independent School Districts of 623, 622, 625, 197, 6, 199 and 833.  The scholars must attend an accredited college or university to earn a bachelors degree.  Scholarships are based on the student’s financial need, academic excellence (in the top 20% of her graduating class, or acceptable ACT/SAT scores), school and/or community volunteer activity, a teacher recommendation, personal essay and a personal interview.

The amount of the scholarship is $4,000 per year and is renewable for up to 8 consecutive semesters or until the scholar graduates with a Baccalaureate degree, whichever comes first, providing the recipient remains a full-time student and maintains a B average.  Applications are available online and will be considered only for the pursuit of Baccalaureate degrees.

Applications must be postmarked no later than March 2 or submitted by March 7, 2018, at the above address.  Applicants are selected for interview on March 26 for interviews scheduled March 27- early April with recipients notified soon after.  Questions may be directed to scholarshiptrust@aauwstpaul.org
