Morning Discussion Group – First Tuesdays

First Tuesday of the month
Everyone welcome!

WeTalk is an opportunity for members to talk with each other, get to know each other, laugh, learn and enjoy ourselves.  Judy Regan facilitates the discussions. There is no subject expert present, rather just members sharing their thoughts. We meet the first Tuesday of the month in the Gold Room upstairs at 9:30 AM.

Writing Your Memoirs, a Cookbook, Short Stories, etc.

Come join us to talk about writing a book. AAUW authors Marijo McBride, Evelyn Klein, and Judy Regan will share their books. If you have written a book, please bring it. Get ideas on how to start, options for putting it on paper, ways to get it published, how to sell it, ways to gift it, etc. Don’t miss this interesting discussion.

Hobbies:  Find out What Others Do in Their Spare Time for Enjoyment

How to Free Yourself from Unwanted Stuff

Let’s discuss how to rid ourselves of items in our home that are taking up too much room, are going unused, or are keeping us from our best life. Let’s talk about the things no woman over 40 needs in her home. Ideas from the book The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning could be helpful. Do you have tips or strategies you have used? What are the stumbling blocks one encounters doing this work?

The BEST . . . BOOKS, MOVIES, and PERFORMANCES

This is an opportunity to talk about your favorite books, movies, and performances. Have you been to the SPHERE in Las Vegas? How about the book All the Beauty in the World? Has anyone seen the play Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat? Did you see a Taylor Swift concert? Let’s enjoy hearing about wonderful times you have had enjoying literature, theater, concerts, or Hollywood productions!!!
